For a large retail business, brand recognition is both an advantage and an added responsibility. The more a chain is present in people’s lives, the more online touchpoints it has: on maps, in search, in reviews, on social media.
Avrora is the kind of retail lovemark that needs no introduction in Ukraine. People love it, joke about it, post video reviews of their shopping baskets, and tag it on social media. But high brand recognition goes hand in hand with reputational risk — any small thing (wrong hours, an outdated address, an unanswered review, out-of-date information) can quickly shape people’s impression of the brand.
It was in this context that, in early 2023, the Avrora multi-market chain began working with Getpin.
Context: when scale starts to complicate processes
In January 2023, the Avrora chain had around 800 stores. A year later, that number was 1,062, and as of January 2026, it’s over 1,800.
Along with that growth came the typical “painful math” of large retail:
- Locations exist not only on Google Maps, but also on Bing and OpenStreetMap — different environments where keeping data consistent matters.
- Reviews come in not just through Google, but also Facebook — meaning reputation lives across multiple channels at once.
- Content needs to be published wherever people actually engage with the brand: Google, Facebook, Instagram.
- Manually updating hours and data across the whole chain always risks errors and delays.
“Before implementing Getpin, it was harder to centrally manage such a large number of locations — especially when we needed to quickly update data or track changes to store hours or other operational changes. These processes took more time and required manual coordination between teams.”
Dmytro Yakunchykov, Head of Digital at Avrora
The request to Getpin: build a management system ready to scale
The key request was for a solution that would help:
- Manage all locations from a single environment
- Quickly update information without manual work for each store
- Avoid discrepancies between different platforms
- Systematically handle reviews across multiple channels
- Provide analytics reflecting the situation across the whole chain
- Offer support on complex platform issues, particularly with Google
This wasn’t about marketing experiments — it was about stability, control, and manageable processes that could scale together with the chain.
What the solution looked like in practice
After connecting the Avrora chain to the Getpin platform, all locations were brought together into a single dashboard. Thanks to integration with the company’s internal CRM, new locations that the team adds to Google Maps and other mapping services automatically appear in the Getpin dashboard. From there, the team could conveniently change location statuses, edit information, and bulk-update store hours, among many other things — for more on the functionality, we invite you to a demo.
This significantly reduced the volume of manual work and cut down on discrepancies between platforms, while maintaining control over data at the scale of the entire chain.
The impact on results
Changes in the approach to managing online presence gradually showed up in user behavior as well.
From January 2023 to October 2025:
- Total user actions grew from 18,194 to 202,984 — more than a 10x increase.
- The number of directions requested increased more than 11x, directly tied to offline store visits.
- Calls from location profiles grew 6.6x, and website clicks grew 11x.
Reputational activity grew alongside this:
- The average number of monthly reviews increased from 1 to 500+, reflecting the chain’s scale and a high level of customer engagement with the brand.
Online visibility for the chain also showed steady growth:
- Total search and map impressions grew from 365,000 to 5.47 million.
- Mobile views on Google Maps increased more than 26x, which is especially important for a retail chain with physical locations.
“The most noticeable thing is the speed of the processes. The team now works more systematically, and updates roll out promptly. We’re also seeing that the quality of customer communication through reviews has become more structured,” the chain’s team notes.
Big business needs a centralized solution
The Avrora–Getpin partnership is a story about how a brand that people genuinely love holds up under popularity — not just offline, but online too — when there are thousands of interactions a day and almost two thousand locations.
